This pitcher is a re-release of a traditional slipware model from the Manufacture de Digoin. Commonly called “Barbotine”, this piece shows the extraordinary diversity of the productions of pitchers from the mid-Nineteenth century to the 1940’s. In glaze stoneware, the clay slip coating reveals the decorative pattern relief.
